Little Bo Peep

We all know the story and the nursery rhyme but did you know there are many variations of this rhyme. The earliest printed or recording of the thyme was reported to be done in the year of 1805 but it only contains the first verse. The most common one is:

“Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep, and can’t tell where to find them; Leave them alone, and they’ll come home, wagging their tails behind them.”

In 1995 and 1999 this character appeared as a ceramic doll in the animated films Toy Story 1 and 2.
During the mid 1950’s Johnny Standley recorded a commentary of the poem in a book title “It’s in the Book” It’s a very funny read and take on the rhyme in his own word.
